Meet Alex
I am a professional Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a First Class honours in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Currently, I work in an addiction rehabilitation centre in Oxfordshire where I support adults beginning their journey towards a sober lifer and to a life which offers more fulfilment.
I have experience working with adults and young people experiencing a number of issues including depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, grief, trauma and addictive behaviours.
My approach is based in the Person-Centred tradition where I believe that you are the expert of your life and the answers are within you. My aim is t provide you a safe environment where you can explore and express your emotions, beliefs and thoughts free of judgement. A skill I have honed over the past few years is knowing when and how to challenge an individual in positive, comforting way which I believe can lead to positive psychological movement.
